Following on from his involvement with the Australian Red Cross Blood Service's 'Radio Star' competition, Blood Service Ambassador Sam Clark has announced a 5 week school tour that will incorporate up to 50 high schools down the East Coast, to discuss the importance of giving blood with students.
The tour also coincides with the physical and digital release of his single 'Devastated', which featured on Neighbours as the catalyst for Donna and Ringo's reconciliation and engagement on the show recently.
'Devastated' follows on from Sam's debut single 'Broken' which hit the 1 spot on the ARIA Physical Charts, Top 15 on the ARIA Australian Artists Chart and the Top 40 ARIA Combined Chart and 'Send Me a Sign' which premiered to 700,000 Neighbours fans.
In addition to the school tour, Sam Clark will also feature in the Australian Red Cross Blood Service's promotional DVD. "Three lives can be saved by a single donation and young people have the opportunity to make a huge difference to the lives of others through blood donation," Sam said.
Sam Clark has had a busy year, juggling his role as 'Ringo Brown' on Neighbours and his emerging music career. 2010 has already seen Sam as a finalist in the 2010 Cleo Bachelor of the Year, performances at the Grand Prix and Warner Bros. Movie World and appearances on the 7PM Project, The Circle, and ABC Studio 3, to name just a few. His debut album is nearing completion and is due for release through PLW in August.
Sam Clark's new single 'Devastated' is available July 30 and debut album 'Take me Home' is available physically and digitally from August 13.
