Black Ruby is planning and putting together the material for a new EP. The Barossa band is finding a facility to record at as well as putting over a dozen songs together, only to whittle them down to 4 or 5 tracks for their EP. A couple of the songs have been played for a few years live without being recorded. This will give Black Ruby the chance to see whether the older songs are the most memorable or whether more recent material will be the freshest. Black Ruby plans to record in Adelaide, over a period of a week. The band is desperate for some of their favourite material to see the light of day beyond live gigs and rehearsal. "The best buzz is still playing our own material...any time, any gig. We are lucky to have 4 sets worth and jump at the chance to play these songs",says Annie, speaking for all the Black Ruby musos. The band will be recording in May and June of 2012.
