Cold Chisel Kick Off Light the Nitro Tour At Newcastle
Everybody's favourite Australian band Cold Chisel kicked off Their 'Light The Nitro' tour in Newcastle last night (Wed. Oct 12), the first of many shows that will take them from Darwin to Hobart and from Coffs Harbour to the Margaret River. In addition to all capital cities, the tour will hit six key Queensland regional centres plus other hubs such as Mudgee, Wodonga, Tamworth and the Hunter and Yarra Valleys, plus a series of A Day On The Green winery shows.
"There's been long periods when the band hasn't been together," said Cold Chisel Bassist Phil Small. "so whether it's air play on the radio or word of mouth, every time we go on tour it amazes us. The fans seem to be getting younger as we're getting older."
"We can't wait to get back on the road together", said frontman, Jimmy Barnes. "Every day for years I've had at least one person come up and ask me when Cold Chisel are going to do a proper tour. I'm bloody glad to finally have something good to tell 'em!"
